The Eat GREEN on Halloween Principal's Pledge

On Halloween, candy usually steals the spotlight as children of all ages clamor for their favorite sweet. This year the East Village Farmer's Market, EVFM invites principals along with staff, teachers, parents and students from local schools to take the Eat GREEN on Halloween Pledge to make sure fruits and veggies share the stage.



The pledge is for principals and members of their school community to name and eat at least one fruit or veggie, on Halloween, Oct. 31st, that is either naturally green or that is harvested from a green bush, stem or vine. Principals with the largest pledge group will earn a campus visit from representatives of Long Beach's green community such as:

Pepsi Refresh Grant Winner Long Beach Grows (Confirmed)
North American School of Green Technology (Confirmed)
Green Long Beach (Confirmed)
Raw Inspiration (Confirmed)
Beach Greens
Living Love Foundation
El Dorado Nature Center
Fresh and Easy

Only principals can register for this pledge. To register:

1) Call 562.786.7817 with name and name of school  by 12 noon, Friday, October 29th.

To take the pledge once registered, principals AND your entire pledge group will need to:

1) Arrive at 430 1st St., LB, CA 90802 by 12noon  Saturday, October 30th.
2) Follow directions provided by EVFM Volunteers.
